EDITORIAL

15th of December 2022

Cognition, Brain, Behavior. An Interdisciplinary Journal is devoted to publishing high-quality research with increased impact in the academic community. Therefore, starting from 2023, three important changes will be introduced:

  1. The journal will be switching to two issues per year (March and September), to allow for increasing both the volume of publications per issue and the selection criteria.
  2. The journal will be adopting the publication style and formatting of the 7th edition of the American Psychological Association (APA, 7th edition) for all its articles.
  3. The journal will be using the Turnitin program to check manuscripts for plagiarism.

The Editorial Team is pleased to announce that the journal has been recently indexed in the Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL). The visibility of the research published in the journal will, therefore, be assured by its indexing in five databases (PsychINFO, EBSCO, SCOPUS, ProQuest, and CEEOL).

The latest issue can be consulted here.

The Editorial Board

Editorial September, 2015

Cognition, Brain, Behavior. An interdisciplinary Journal has witnessed an increasingly larger popularity among researchers worldwide, through the high quality of the published articles, and the wide international coverage in well-known and accessed data bases. The Special Issues (e.g., Mixed methods research, Test anxiety, Empathy development; Embodiment and development; Interpreting; Individual development and family relations in Eastern Europe) published over the years have presented research of highly appreciated scholars.

Throughout the years, the editorial board of the journal has witnessed both minor and some major changes. The present editorial board would like to express its gratitude to the founders of Cognition, Brain, Behavior. An interdisciplinary Journal, Professor Mircea Miclea (former Editor-in-chief), and Professor Oana Benga (former Executive Editor). Moreover, the board formed this year, Éva Kállay (Editor-in-Chief), Lavinia Cheie (Executive Editor), Catrinel Ștefan (Associate Editor), Thea Ionescu (Associate Editor) and Sebastian Pintea (Associate Editor), would like to express its desire to live up to the standards and expectations set by the previous editorial board.

Editorial December, 2008

Cognition, Brain, Behavior. An interdisciplinary Journal is the direct descendent of Cogniţie, Creier, Comportament/Cognition, Brain, Behavior, the official journal of the Romanian Association for Cognitive Science.

More than ten years have passed since the first issue of the journal Cogniţie, Creier, Comportament has been edited by an enthusiastic group of Romanian and international researchers. The quality standards promoted by the editorial board contributed to an increased internationalization of the journal which is now indexed in PsychInfo, International Bibliography of Social Sciences, EBSCO and ProQuest. Our publication has become de facto an international journal, expressing much more than the interests of our local community, represented by the Romanian Association for Cognitive Science. Moreover, during these years we have noticed that the tradition of interdisciplinary research has flourished inside the pages of our journal. Accordingly, we decided to express these de facto changes in the name and the mission of the journal. Thus, starting from this issue our journal will be edited under the name: Cognition, Brain, Behavior.  An interdisciplinary Journal, by an independent panel of international scientists, committed to promote interdisciplinary approaches in cognitive sciences.

I want to express my gratitude to the editorial board, which has approved these welcomed changes.
