DEZVOLTAREA CAPACITATILOR DE PERCEPTIE A FETELOR IN PRIMUL AN DE VIATA
Abstract:
Face is a special object in adulthood. In this review I will resume the development of face perception capacities along the first year of life. I bring forward evidence supporting the special place of face perception since very early in life. I am also pointing to one of the aspects that motivates the special role played by faces - social interaction. The focus will be on how face perception mediates it. We will also see that a frequent and emotionally rich contact with faces in early childhood is needed in order to develop normal face perception capacities.
