SURSE DE ACURATETE SI ILUZIE IN MONITORIZAREA METACOGNITIVA

Written by Gabriela LEMENI on . Posted in Volume VI, Nr. 3

Abstract:

Metacognitive monitoring is an inferential process. Its accuracy relies on the accuracy of the sources used as a base for the inference making and also on other contextual variables. Most of the studies on metacognitive indexes were looking for task-based sources as the only kind of sources that affect accuracy. In this study we discuss three kinds of sources of accuracy and illusion in metacognitive monitoring: task-based sources, external sources and contextual sources. We emphasize the importance of an interactive model in understanding and explaining metacognitive accuracy.
