Cognition, Brain, Behavior. An Interdisciplinary Journal is devoted to publishing high-quality research with increased impact in the academic community. Therefore, starting from 2023, three important changes will be introduced:

  1. The journal will be switching to two issues per year (March and September), to allow for increasing both the volume of publications per issue and the selection criteria.
  2. The journal will be adopting the publication style and formatting of the 7th edition of the American Psychological Association (APA, 7th edition) for all its articles.
  3. The journal will be using the Turnitin program to check manuscripts for plagiarism.

The Editorial Team is pleased to announce that the journal has been recently indexed in the Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL). The visibility of the research published in the journal will, therefore, be assured by its indexing in five databases (PsychINFO, EBSCO, SCOPUS, ProQuest, and CEEOL).

The latest issue can be consulted here.

CALL FOR PAPERS

MENTAL ASPECTS OF SPORT PERFORMANCE
SPECIAL ISSUE

Physical activity plays a strategic role in modern societies - its beneficial effects are not only reflected in a society’s level of health and well-being, but also in its economy. Elite sport has a motivational effect on the general population’s regular level of physical activity. At the same time, one of the central aims of elite sport is represented by the enhancement of performance. Mental preparation is an essential component of the training process, helping athletes achieve a focused, confident and trustful mindset to compete at their highest potential.

This special issue invites researchers and practicing sport psychologists to share their recent findings, knowledge and expertise on the psychological preparation of athletes and factors enabling them to attain superior sport performances.

Thus, we invite manuscripts advancing both theory and research on applied aspects of sport and exercise psychology, particularly on psychological factors influencing sport performance.
